Welcome to My Carpal Tunnel Journey (A Personal Path Toward Healing, Awareness & Support)
How It All Started
Hello, I’m The Carpal Guy, and I’ve been dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for over two and a half years now. As someone working in the IT industry, the constant typing and wrist strain really took a toll on my body. I know many of you reading this probably feel the same way.
For years, I took typing, texting, and even chopping vegetables for granted. Then one day, a strange tingling sensation crept into my fingers. At first, I ignored it. “Maybe I slept wrong,” I told myself. But the numbness returned. Then the pain followed.
Eventually, I found myself unable to type for long periods, cook without discomfort, or even hold my phone without my hand cramping up. That's when I heard the words: "You have carpal tunnel syndrome."
I created this blog because there are not enough resources out there that provide both practical tips and emotional support for those suffering from this condition. Here, I’ll be offering insights, product recommendations, and strategies that I’ve found helpful on my own journey.
Living With Carpal Tunnel: The Daily Struggles
The condition affects far more than just your hands — it affects your lifestyle, your work, and your mental health. For me, it meant:
-
Waking up in the middle of the night with numb fingers
-
Taking long breaks from typing (which isn’t easy when your job relies on it)
-
Constant fear of worsening symptoms
If you're going through something similar, I see you. You're not alone.
Why I Started This Blog?
I searched online for real stories, not just medical definitions or generic advice. I wanted to hear from people who had been there, who understood the frustration of being told to “just rest” when you're trying to juggle work, family, and everyday tasks.
That’s why I created My Carpal Tunnel Diary to document my experience, share what’s helping, and connect with others navigating the same road by creating a place where people who are struggling with Carpal Tunnel can find support, encouragement, and actionable advice. I want to provide a space where you don’t feel like you’re going through this alone.
What You Can Expect from This Blog

If You're Just Starting Your Carpal Tunnel Journey
Let me offer one small but important piece of advice:Listen to your body early. Don’t push through the pain thinking it’ll just go away on its own. It rarely does.
Simple habits like hand stretches, posture checks, and reducing screen time can go a long way.
